The details, the laughs, the tears, the firsts, the way he holds her cheek as he leans in for a kiss, her grandma's hands as she gifts her own heirloom wedding ring, the tear streaming down her dad’s cheek as he sees his baby girl in a wedding gown for the first time. Details that could otherwise be forgotten, but often times mean the most.

Sessions can take place anywhere from 18 months to just a few days before the wedding. I'm a huge fan of engagement sessions for many reasons. Most importantly, they allow you to get comfortable in front of my camera and understand how I shoot. It's amazing practice for the big day! Plus, you get beautiful images to use for Save the Dates! Win win.
Engagement Session
I check in about two months before the wedding to start chatting about timeline specifics, special details, family formal shot lists, special traditions and anything else I need to know about your big day. A few days before I will send over a details checklist and confirm any last minute changes.
Wedding Day Prep
It's finally here! The day the two of you say "I Do" and dance the night away surrounded by your family and friends. Just know I am SO excited to celebrate and capture your wedding day.
The Big Day
You can expect your photos to be delivered via an online gallery within about eight to ten weeks after your wedding. At that time, I'll also send over details about preserving your images through prints and albums.

When should we schedule our engagement session?

We typically add travel fees on to any wedding outside of a 60 mile radius from our home in Orland, ME. Fees vary depending on location so reach out for more details.

When do you charge travel fees for weddings?

Galleries typically include 100 images per hour. The exact amount varies from wedding to wedding. Your online gallery will come loaded with fully edited high resolution images you can print anywhere.

Fantastic! To reserve your wedding date, we’ll need a completed contract and a 30% non-refundable retainer. The remaining balance will be due 3 weeks before the wedding.

When do you charge travel fees for weddings?
q:
Absolutely. I am fully insured with equipment and liability insurance. I bring backup equipment to every wedding as well as a second shooter to make sure nothing is missed. I shoot on two SD cards simultaneously while at your wedding, and when I arrive home I backup your images in 3 separate locations. Safety of your images is my highest priority. If none of this makes sense, just rest assured, I've got you covered!

Do you take any safety precautions when it comes to my wedding and images?

You are by no means obligated to do an engagement session, however I offer them complimentary so we have a chance to meet before your wedding so you can get to know me behind the camera and vice versa. It's really great practice before the wedding! If you truly wish to opt out, you're welcome to do so. The engagement session cannot be transferred to extra hours.

What if I don't need the engagement session/already had my photos done?

I choose my second shooters based on their experience level, shooting style, personality, and availability. All of my second shooters have a similar shooting style to my own, have experience with weddings, and have upbeat and professional personalities. I have an amazing list of photographers I use to second shoot weddings with me and will decide based on availability.
